Job Description
Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources department located at our Roxane facility in Columbus, OH. As a HR Coordinator IV you will Provide administrative support to Human Resources, Public Relations, and Executive staff. Coordinates and performs the tactical execution of various HR functions (record-keeping, payroll, HRIS, recruiting, unemployment, projects).

Responsibilities:
· Provides general administrative support to the HR department personnel.
· Maintains site HRIS systems.
· Process time and attendance on a bi-weekly basis ensuring employees are paid correctly by addressing exceptions and making adjustments as needed to meet the deadlines of Payroll.
· Coordinates administrative portion of recruiting process for HR staff.
· Supports on-boarding process for new employees and contract employees.
· Coordinates monitoring and responses to unemployment claims.
· Processes departmental expenses and maintains supplies.
· Assists with various HR project and processes (Development Planning, Succession Planning, Talent Management, Talent Reviews, Internship Program).
· Assists in leave administration tracking.
· Provides support to the Communications and Public Relations function and to the Executive staff as needed.

Requirements:
· Associate's Degree in a related discipline (i.e., Human Resources, Management, Business Administration) is required; Bachelor's degree in related discipline preferred.
· Minimum of 5 years experience in an administrative support role in an HR environment required.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required. Access is preferred.
· Experience with web-based software, specifically HR-related software (HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems, employee case management systems), is strongly preferred. Prior experience with web-editing software (Microsoft Frontpage) is preferred.
· Demonstrated excellent organizational skills.
· Exhibits strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate well both verbally and through writing.
· Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced, and occasionally stressful, environment.
· Demonstrated high level of attention to detail required.
· Demonstrated high level of confidentiality, initiative and ability to work independently
· Ability to handle highly-confidential information in a confidential manner.
· Basic knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws is strongly preferred. Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment/selection and personnel information systems is strongly preferred.
· Proven ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with coworkers and internal/external customers.
