As a Home Equity Account Maintenance Specialist, you will be accountable for processing monetary maintenance on the VLS loan accounting system. · Receives customer loan maintenance requests through email, fax, and/or CCW queue management. · Reviews and correct any outstanding general ledger entries for prior day. · Reviews and corrects any SDE failed results from prior day. · Ensure not to create adverse impacts on customer accounts when completing account maintenance. · When processing on blocked or legal stat follow established procedures. · Process within policy by reviewing relevant information from the appropriate computer screens. · Research and fulfill customer requests using the appropriate maintenance functions. · Complete accurately, according to procedures and within service levels. · Ensure proper authorization is provided prior to completing. · Report and track any trends to Supervisor. · Verify team's check requests and MI50's prior to submitting to supervisor for approval. · Update procedures and create new procedures for new processes. · Deliver letters and checks to the mailroom.Pull daily, monthly and weekly credit balances. · Ensure completed loan maintenance requests are fully documented on appropriate computer systems. · Provides sufficient daily backup files for completed loan maintenance requests. · Completes general ledger tickets, credit balance reports and other monetary reports according to procedures. · Completes daily reporting on STAT. · Review department standards quarterly. · Review all change alerts distributed by Supervisor. · Ensure all necessary supporting documents are provided for check requests.
These requests may include but are not limited to the following: · LOCKS (fixed interest rate takedown) cancellations. · Interest Rate Adjustments · Miscellaneous maintenance · Reverse/reapply payment transactions · Fee waivers/refunds · Small balance waivers · Skip a payments - currently postponed · Reg Z requests · HE Payment transfers · Fraud Entries · Escalated requests · Manual Credit Balance Reports
Qualifications · High School diploma. · Basic typing or keyboarding skills. · Basic 10-key skills. · Experience with basic office machines - copier and fax machines. · Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience. · Reconcile experience · Problem solving · Six months of similar or related experience perferred · MS Word, Excel, Access, Lotus Notes · General banking knowledge perferred · General understanding of consumer lending products, services and loan documents perferred · VLS and CCW experience perferred
